RIVERS FC II (PCSL)

Rivers FC II plays in the British Columbia-based Pacific Coast Soccer League (PCSL) this summer and will serve as the 2nd team for the League1 men’s squad.

For the past decade, a team representing Thompson-Rivers University has participated in the league.

The PCSL is an inter-city, and on occasion, cross-border adult amateur soccer league with a season that runs from May to August – concurrently with League1 BC. The league has been in operation in different guises since 1908. The current incarnation of the PCSL was constituted in the mid-1970s and has run every summer until the present day.

The 2023 edition of the PCSL season will see men’s teams participating: Khalsa Sporting Club,  Mid-Isle Mariners, Okanagan FC, Penticton Soccer Club, Surrey United Soccer Club, Tigers FC, Victoria Highlanders, Victoria United, Westcastle International, and Rivers FC II.

Excel Industries Limited is the primary sponsor of Rivers FC II. The Kamloops-based company has been an industry leader in the manufacturing of finely crafted kitchen cabinetry, washroom vanities, and commercial millwork since 1965. Excel President Victor Lizzi has been a stalwart supporter of local soccer organizations for many years and is one of the financial supporters of Rivers FC.
